Feeling very overworked, tired, and quite frankly, burned out

How are you these days? I mean, really?

A few months ago, I was feeling very overworked, tired, and quite frankly, burned out. It was just as things started opening back up again when I just needed to pause.

Woman side view thinkingI had to slow my branding and social media marketing business right down. I had to stop doing ‘all the things‘ and just recoup. I needed naps (I mean, I love naps generally but during this time I really needed those naps), I needed to veg and binge watch shows and movies, I needed to just hang out with my family. I actually was social and was catching up with friends with whom I haven’t seen in two years.

I basically took the summer off without planning to take the summer off

Sure, I worked here and there, continued to help clients, but honestly, it was probably at about 25% pace I usually run at. And I’m ok with that.

I am definitely better for it and was fortunate that for the first half of the year I had a good roster of clients that allowed me to take that time. But of course, I could have planned it a little better. C’est la vie.

It turns out I wasn’t the only one

As I spoke to friends, industry colleagues, clients, and as I scrolled through social, I realized quickly I wasn’t the only one.

So many people were feeling the same way. They just needed to stop for a moment and reset.

Thankfully, I am now more mentally rested. Not only did I have a chance to rejuvenate, but I also had a lot of inspiring thoughts and ideas to continue helping entrepreneurs like you who might have been in the same spot as I was or are still feeling like this and are waving the white flag.
